On one campout (circa 1971) a live hog was brought to be roasted. On Friday night the hog was shot and gutted, and the hair was shaved off by the scouts using their Buck knives. After the hog was prepared, the scouts took shifts all through the night and all day Saturday, turning the hog on a giant spit over the fire. On Saturday evening all of the scouts families came to the camp site and we had a feast on roast hog. Dfrench 23:35, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
